GIS Day, Nov 9th, SLCC Miller Campus

What is GIS?  A geographic information system (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of spatial or geographical data.  Think of Google Earth as a GIS.

What if I don't know anything about GIS?  Come, learn, have fun.  You may get hooked faster than you think.  It is fun, easy, and there are lots of resources.

Where: Salt Lake Community College at the Miller Campus - 9750 S 300 W, Sandy, UT
What: GIS day presentations from GIS professionals for 4th thru 6th grade students
When: 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM - 2 hour duration for each school
Cost:  Free, Bus grants available
